En 1998, el Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) en New York exibió Star Doll (26 x 8 x 4cm), una representación en plástico de la pop star cyborg de Mori. Una canción pop compuesta e interpretada por ella misma acompañó a la versión original.

Biografía

Nacida en 1967 en Tokyo, Japón.
Su padre es un cientifico.
Durante los 80 ella trabajó como modelo.
Mientras tanto se graduó en Fashion Design en el Bunka Fashion College, Tokyo (1986-1988).
En 1988 se transladó a Inglaterra, dónde estudió en el Byam Shaw School of Art (1988-1989).
Y en la universidad de Chelsea, Londres (1989-1992).
En 1992 comenzó un Independent Study Program en la Whitney Museum of New York.
Vive y trabaja entre New York, USA, y Tokyo, Japón.
